Today, Wednesday, the United Nations in Egypt, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, celebrates the International Youth Day under the slogan “Solidarity of Generations: Creating a World Accommodating for All Ages.” This year's International Youth Day highlights the importance of intergenerational solidarity for sustainable development.
The celebration will be held today, Wednesday, at the Olympic Center Theater in Maadi.
Speaking at the celebration will be Jeremy Hopkins, UNICEF Representative and Acting Resident Coordinator in Egypt, Frederica Meyer, representative of the United Nations Population Fund in Egypt, and Farid Hegazy, from the International Labor Organization, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports.
