The Desert Research Center organized a celebration of the World Day to Combat Desertification today, Tuesday, with the title "Applied Models for Adaptation to Climate Changes and Combating Desertification."
Dr. Abdullah Zagloul, Head of the Desert Research Center, said that the celebration of this day aims to enhance and develop environmental awareness for peoples, governments, decision-makers and civil society organizations,with regard to combating desertification and drought and addressing climate change, as they are one of the biggest environmental challenges facing humanity in the modern era. Early actions and measures to avoid the degradation of ecosystems and the loss of land productivity due to drought.
