Since October 2018, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation has held the Cairo Water Week, the fifth edition of which will be held next October.
The activities of the fifth edition of the Cairo Water Week, under the title "Water at the heart of climate action", will be launched under the auspices of the President of the Republic.
Cairo Water Week aims to raise awareness of water issues and promote innovations to address water challenges in unconventional ways; using modern technology.
Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aty, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, stresses that the keenness to hold this event annually, given that water is one of the most important requirements for sustainable social and economic development, pointing to the holding of the week’s activities is a culmination of Egypt’s leading regional role, whether in the Arab or African region.
