Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Health and Population, confirmed that no positive cases of monkeypox have been proven in Egypt so far, explaining that he is following up on the ministry's measures in the context of preparing for the global outbreak of "monkeypox" disease.
He added, that an integrated guideline for the disease has been issued and updated according to the latest developments in the global and regional epidemiological situation and published in all governorates.
It also announced a 60% decrease in occupancy during the last week of July compared to the penultimate week of the same month.
