Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Grand Mufti of the Republic and Head of the General Secretariat of Fatwa Authorities and Institutions Worldwide, received Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories, in an emotional bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 10th World Fatwa Conference. The Grand Mufti warmly welcomed the Palestinian guest, emphasizing that the relationship between the two peoples and religious institutions is governed by "the bond of knowledge, neighborliness, and a common goal." He emphasized the importance of opening broad horizons for cooperation in the scientific and legal fields.
