Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of Environment, held an expanded meeting with Mr. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, to discuss ways to expand the use of agricultural and animal waste to produce biogas and organic fertilizer, as part of the state's efforts towards a green transformation and promoting a circular economy.

The meeting was attended by leaders from both ministries, the Bioenergy for Sustainable Development Foundation, the Agricultural Research Center, and a number of relevant advisors and experts.
