Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, met today, Tuesday, with Mr. Gareth Bayley, British Ambassador to Cairo.

This meeting took place at the papal headquarters in St. Mark's Cathedral in Abbasiya, on the occasion of the end of his tenure as British Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The British Ambassador was accompanied during the visit by Ms. Catherine Carr, Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Mission at the British Embassy in Egypt.
