Dr. Ashraf Tadros, professor of astronomy at the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics, said that the Safar full moon will be complete next Saturday at 10:57 a.m. and will be 100% bright. He confirmed that the Prophet's Birthday will therefore be on Thursday, September 4, corresponding to the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal of the current Hijri year, as the current month of Safar has 29 days.

Tadros emphasized that the time of the full moon is the best time to view the terrain, volcanic craters, and meteorite craters on the lunar surface using binoculars and small telescopes.
