Maxim Maximov, Deputy Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has been invited to participate in the Russian-Arab Summit in Moscow.
The Russian diplomat added during his speech at a ceremony marking the 73rd anniversary of the 1952 Egyptian Revolution: "The first Russian-Arab Summit is scheduled to be held in Moscow on October 15, with the aim of affirming our shared drive towards rapprochement and expanding cooperation. We will be pleased with the participation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and his counterparts from other countries in this meeting."
