Under the directives of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to intensify contacts to de-escalate tensions in the region, Dr. Badr Abdel-Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, held a series of calls, including with Abbas Araghchi, Iranian Foreign Minister, Steve Witkoff, US Special Envoy for the Middle East, and Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

In the calls, Minister Abdel-Ati discussed the importance of working to promote peaceful solutions and resume negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program, especially given the conviction that there are no military solutions to this issue and other crises facing the region.
