Artist Edward topped search engines and social media platforms after a touching episode of "Sahibet Al-Saada" with media personality Esaad Younis. During the episode, he revealed shocking details about his illness, speaking through tears about his struggle with cancer and undergoing a right kidney removal operation, as well as suffering a heart attack and having three stents inserted.

Edward recounted that he recently experienced the worst months of his life, beginning when director Mohamed Sami asked him to change his appearance for a new dramatic role. He resorted to weight-loss injections that caused him to lose 15 kilograms. Two months later, he began to suffer from severe stomach pain, and tests revealed a cyst on his kidney. After careful analysis, it was discovered to be a cancerous tumor.
