Since President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi launched his vision for building the New Republic following the June 30 Revolution, Egypt has entered an unprecedented phase of serious national work, during which the state has focused on implementing massive projects to modernize infrastructure and achieve sustainable development. The transportation sector, particularly sustainable urban mass transit, has accounted for the lion's share of these projects.
In this context, the political leadership is paying unprecedented attention to the transportation sector as one of the pillars of economic and social growth, foremost among which are the metro and electric traction projects, which represent new arteries connecting cities and urban communities and providing civilized, safe, and environmentally friendly solutions for citizen movement.
