Major General Mahmoud Sharawy, Minister of Local Development, confirmed that investments estimated at about 4.4 billion pounds were allocated to development projects implemented during the current fiscal year 2022/2023 through the General Office of the Ministry of Local Development, in order to support the urgent and emergency needs of the governorates, and to complete the implementation of projects that were not listed for them. Funding within the plans of the governorates, and its completion is required to benefit from it.
He pointed out that the projects include completing the infrastructure system for the hygiene system, establishing, developing and raising the efficiency of government massacres, preparing detailed and strategic plans for villages, cities and hamlets, completing the security monitoring system to secure archaeological areas, establishing government service complexes in the provincial capitals, and supplying 110 electric buses, including 70 buses for the General Authority for Passengers Transport in Cairo, and 40 buses for the General Authority for Passengers Transport in Alexandria.
