The Grand Egyptian Museum received the President of the Republic of Angola and current Chairperson of the African Union, João Lourenço, and his wife during his current official visit to Egypt. He was accompanied by the Egyptian Ambassador to Angola. This visit is part of a series of official visits to the museum, which attracts various dignitaries from around the world.

They were received by Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, who took them on a tour of the museum, including the main lobby, the Grand Staircase, and the main halls.
