South Korean Marines Conduct Large-Scale Amphibious Landing Drills in Pohang

The South Korean Marine Corps announced on Monday that it conducted regular amphibious landing drills in a southeastern coastal city as part of efforts to maintain combat readiness.

The Marine Corps explained in a statement carried by South Korea's Yonhap News Agency that the drills took place in a coastal area in Pohang, about 270 kilometers southeast of Seoul, where approximately 3,200 troops, KF-16 fighter jets, and various naval vessels, including the amphibious assault ship Marado, were mobilized.
