Egyptian-Australian Relations: A Solid Partnership Based on Mutual Respect, Shared Values, and Strategic Cooperation
4/27/2025

Egyptian-Australian relations are of strategic importance, due to the many historical ties and relationships that exist since Australia opened its embassy in Cairo in March 1950, the first Australian embassy in the Middle East.

Bilateral relations between the two countries are based on a long history of cooperation in the areas of peace and regional security, particularly with regard to efforts to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East. The Egyptian community in Australia has been able to coexist and integrate in a distinguished manner, to the point of reaching a degree of maturity and political awareness that serves as a bridge for cooperation between the two countries.
