Hundreds of people demonstrated in Paris and Marseille (southern France) on Wednesday, at the call of journalist associations and organizations, to protest the killing of dozens of journalists in the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, according to AFP correspondents.

In Paris, about 200 people took a symbolic knee on the steps of the Bastille Opera House, holding photos of the victims and wearing T-shirts smeared with red "Press", as organizers read out the names of journalists killed in the Palestinian enclave.
