The 6th Infantry Division in El Fasher, supported by Popular Resistance Forces, artillery, and armored vehicles, repelled a fierce attack launched by the Rapid Support Forces on Zamzam camp in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State, western Sudan. The forces reassured citizens that the situation was under control.

The Sudanese News Agency (SUNA) quoted a statement from the 6th Division on Saturday as saying, "The forces were able to inflict heavy losses on the militias in lives and equipment, forcing them to withdraw from the camp, leaving behind dead and wounded."

The division stated that the Rapid Support Forces renewed their attack from the southeast of the camp, noting that the Popular Resistance Youth and mobilized forces were able to repel the attack.
