Ambassador Nabil Habashi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, met with Bishop Julius, General Bishop of the Bishopric of Public and Social Services. The two sides discussed the dangers of illegal migration and ways to combat it. Ambassador Habashi highlighted the role of the Church in combating the phenomenon, in line with national efforts under the umbrella of the "Lifeboats" presidential initiative. He also praised the video message recorded by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II last December, coinciding with the celebrations of World Migrants Day. Through this message, His Holiness aimed to raise awareness among young people about the dangers of illegal migration and to introduce positive and safe alternatives.
