A rocket attack targeting Israel early Thursday morning forced Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to flee immediately and leave the Knesset.

Netanyahu immediately left the Knesset and headed to a protected area after air raid sirens sounded in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

The sirens sounded after a missile was detected fired from Yemen, according to the Associated Press.
