Brazilian firefighters said landslides caused by heavy rains have killed at least 10 people, with another missing, in the state of Minas Gerais (southeast), the Brazilian fire brigade said on Sunday.
Minas Gerais Governor Romeo Zema sent a message via social media of "solidarity with the victims of last night's landslides in Ipatinga".
He made available to the municipality "all the means at the state's disposal to help rescue those affected by the heavy rains".
