Egypt has succeeded remarkably in enhancing sustainability, reducing carbon emissions, and achieving financing from the Green Climate Fund for strategic projects such as "Greening Financial Systems" and "Investing in Smart Resilient Agriculture". The financing package for these projects is estimated at 2.687 billion US dollars.

Egyptian Minister of Environment, Dr. Yasmine Fouad, plays a leading role in the climate file at the international level, through her participation in the COP29 conference in Baku and her leadership of consultations to reach climate financing goals at the presidential and ministerial levels.
The Ministry of Environment is in the process of completing the interactive map project for the risks of climate change in Egypt, which aims to improve monitoring and analysis of the effects of climate change, with a focus on establishing an early warning system for climate crises.
