US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken held a phone call with his Egyptian counterpart, Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, today, Sunday, to discuss the latest developments in efforts to cease fire in the Gaza Strip and the situation in Syria.

Cairo News Channel reported that the US State Department stated that Blinken and Abdel Aati also discussed efforts to enhance the peaceful transition process in Syria after the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime.
