Environment Minister Dr. Yasmine Fouad met with Civil Aviation Minister Dr. Sameh El-Hefny to talk about working together to combat climate change, use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and promote ecotourism.

The environment minister also reviewed the collaborative efforts in developing the National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change (NAP), which includes two studies pertaining to the aviation industry: one on the effects of climate change on coastal regions, another on critical infrastructure and facilities, and a collaboration through the project "Raising Climate Ambition in Land Use and Agriculture through National Plans and Contributions (SCALA)" by developing the Early Warning System in collaboration with the World Food Program (WFP) and the General Authority for Meteorology with the goal of assisting national adaptation plans and providing small farmers with climate data and warning them before severe waves occur.
