The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, stated: As soon as the Israeli side leaves the Rafah border, thousands of trucks will be required every day to get into Palestine.
This was said at a news conference supporting the
humanitarian response in Gaza that was held on the fringes of the ministerial
conference.
He continued: "We focused on the requirements for early
recovery for the Gaza Strip to make it viable for life."
The necessity of facilitating the Palestinian state's
application for UN membership was emphasized by the Foreign Affairs Minister.
