Sheikh Zayed Misdemeanor Appeals Court ruled to end the lawsuit accusing Imam Ashour of assaulting a security guard by reconciliation, and to cancel the 6-month prison sentence issued against him in absentia.

The Al-Ahly player was present in court under heavy guard before the start of the trial session.

Lawyer Ali Fayez, the defense attorney for the security guard, announced Imam Ashour's reconciliation with his client in a friendly session in his office.

The lawyer said in a post on Facebook: "A reconciliation was reached between Imam Ashour and Abdullah Mustafa in the presence of the player's father, and Abdullah obtained his moral rights and the necessary compensation."

The Sheikh Zayed Misdemeanor Appeal Court had ruled to accept the appeal submitted by the Public Prosecution against the acquittal of Al-Ahly player Imam Ashour in the incident of his assault on a security guard at a famous mall in Sheikh Zayed, and to rule again to imprison him for 6 months.

The player filed an appeal against the ruling issued against him, so the court issued a new ruling in the case.

In October, the Misdemeanor Court had ruled to acquit Al-Ahly football star Imam Ashour in the accusation of assaulting a security guard at a famous mall in Sheikh Zayed, with the help of others.
