president Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to discuss the projects of green hydrogen production nationwide in the presence of Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker, and Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Yehia Zaki.
“The meeting focused on the latest developments in cooperative efforts with international companies in the field of green hydrogen generation using renewable energy,” Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady said.
He added that “These efforts are being made as part of the national strategy that aims to maximize the share of clean energy in the country’s electrical capacity mix to reach 42 percent, given Egypt’s huge clean energy potential, especially wind and solar power.
