President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto held a joint press conference on Sunday, following the signing of several memoranda of understanding between the two countries in various fields.
President El-Sisi’s key statements included:

- Egyptian-Indonesian relations are opening up broader prospects for cooperation.

- We aim to increase trade volume with Indonesia to $5 billion by 2030.
- We stress the need to prioritize diplomacy in resolving crises.
- Egypt and Indonesia share a common position on achieving a just and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue.
- We reaffirm the need to establish an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders.
- We stress the need for full and sustained access for humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
- We reject any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians or liquidate the Palestinian cause.
