Egyptian Minister of Planning and Economic Development Ahmed Rostom met with Namrata Thapar, Global Director for Metals and Mining at the World Bank Group, to discuss strengthening cooperation and increasing the mining sector’s contribution to the economy. Rostom highlighted Egypt’s efforts to empower the private sector, attract domestic and foreign investment, and utilize untapped natural resources, creating jobs and supporting sustainable development. He also said Egypt’s economy continues to improve, with positive growth despite ongoing global and regional economic uncertainty and geopolitical tensions.
