His Eminence the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, received Ambassador André Spiteri, Malta’s Ambassador to Cairo, on Wednesday at Al-Azhar headquarters to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation and support dialogue between religions and cultures.

Grand Imam of Al-Azhar: Al-Azhar Offers Scholarships to Muslim Students Worldwide

The Grand Imam emphasized that Al-Azhar offers scholarships to Muslim students from across the globe, enabling them to enroll at Al-Azhar University to study Sharia and Arabic sciences alongside applied sciences.

He added: "We welcome imams from around the world for training at the Al-Azhar International Academy for Training Imams and Preachers. This training follows specialized academic programs—prepared by a select group of Al-Azhar professors and senior scholars—designed to hone the imams' skills in refuting extremist and erroneous ideas regarding Islam’s approach to 'the other,' women's issues, and other contemporary topics."
