The Red Sea Ports Authority announced that a total of 14 ships moved through its ports, handling 45,000 tons of cargo, 1,091 trucks, and 49 cars. The Authority's ports also recorded the arrival and departure of 2,760 passengers.
The Red Sea Ports Authority explained in a statement today, Thursday, that imports included nine ships carrying 35,500 tons of cargo, 682 trucks, and 35 cars, while exports included five ships carrying 9,500 tons of cargo, 409 trucks, and 14 cars.
The Authority indicated that Safaga Port received the ship SEA PLAIN 8 carrying 30,000 tons of aluminum from Indonesia. Safaga Port also received the ships PELAGOS Express, Pan LiLi, POSEIDON EXPRESS, Al-Hurriya, and Al-Riyadh, while three ships departed: Alcudia Express, Al-Hurriya 2, and Amal. Nuweiba Port handled 3,500 tons of cargo and 313 trucks through shuttle trips by four ships: Al-Hussein, Awr, Sina, and Ayla.
