Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, met with Senator James Risch, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, as part of the Foreign Minister's meetings with members of Congress during his visit to Washington.
The Foreign Minister also noted the momentum in bilateral relations between Egypt and the United States, stressing the shared interest in strengthening economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries and working to attract more American investments to the Egyptian market.
Minister Abdel-Aty also extended an invitation to Senator James Risch to visit Egypt at the earliest opportunity. The Senator expressed his appreciation for the kind invitation and accepted it, conveying his deep appreciation for the efforts of the President of the Republic to support peace and stability in the Middle East. He affirmed his eagerness to visit Egypt and strengthen cooperation and consultation between the two countries.
