President El-Sisi Emphasizes Shared Destiny and Unified National Security of Egypt and the Gulf States

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed the shared destiny and unified national security of Egypt and the Gulf States, highlighting the importance of strengthening joint action to overcome serious regional challenges and developments, and activating the concept of collective Arab national security to protect the security, stability, and sovereignty of Arab states.


This came during a phone call made by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi today, Wednesday, to his brother, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of the Sultanate of Oman.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, stated that the President expressed Egypt's support for the stability and sovereignty of the Sultanate of Oman and all brotherly Gulf states under the current circumstances, stressing Egypt's complete condemnation and rejection of Iranian aggression against brotherly Arab states.

For his part, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq expressed his gratitude to the President and his deep appreciation for Egypt's unwavering support for the stability and sovereignty of the Gulf states.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson, added that the President reviewed the intensive contacts and initiatives undertaken by Egypt at the international and regional levels to de-escalate tensions and end the war as quickly as possible. He expressed Egypt's appreciation and support for the mediation efforts undertaken by the Sultanate of Oman between the United States and Iran, and in this context, he reiterated Egypt's vision regarding the necessity of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions to all the region's crises. In this regard, the two leaders agreed to continue consultations and coordination to bolster efforts to de-escalate tensions and restore regional stability.
