Media Production City Sees 36% Increase in Net Profit During Q4 2025
2/17/2026

At its meeting today, the Board of Directors of Media Production City, chaired by Abdel Fattah El-Gebaly, approved the company's standalone and consolidated financial statements for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025 (covering the period from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025), which showed a significant improvement in financial results. Net profit rose to EGP 709 million, compared to EGP 522 million, representing a 36% increase compared to the same period last year. Earnings per share reached EGP 3.37, compared to EGP 2.48 for the same period of the previous year.

This is a primary result of the expansion of the company's various activities, most notably the increased revenue from its studios, production and technical services, marketing of artistic productions, entertainment activities, the International Academy for Engineering and Media Sciences, and training, in addition to investments in subsidiaries. Total revenue for that period rose from EGP 844 million to EGP 935 million. Furthermore, the "Center for the Revival of Audio-Visual Heritage" expanded into Arab and Egyptian markets, successfully restoring numerous feature and documentary films and generating significant returns that contributed to increased profits.

The company also witnessed a substantial expansion in its foreign filming services, both within and outside the city. The "Egypt Film Commission" in the city oversaw the execution of numerous projects for various nationalities (American, Indian, Norwegian, French, German, and Swiss) at many tourist and archaeological sites throughout Egypt. This contributed positively to increasing the company's revenue and maximizing its resources. The Media Production City's Media Services Center in Agouza has also expanded its provision of comprehensive facilities and resources to foreign media outlets operating in Egypt, significantly contributing to the delivery of high-quality media content that keeps pace with the rapid advancements in satellite broadcasting.

It is worth noting that Media Production City is an Egyptian joint-stock company operating within the public free zone system. Its shareholders include the National Media Authority, the National Investment Bank, the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, and the Egyptian Company for Investment Projects and Public Subscription.
