Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, received a report from the Central Administration for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, headed by Khalil Mohamed, regarding the services provided to individuals with cerebral palsy through 17 specialized centers for the care and rehabilitation of children across 15 governorates of the Republic, under the supervision of the General Administration for Rehabilitation Services. These governorates are: Cairo, Giza, Assiut, Sohag, Alexandria, Beheira, Gharbia, Kafr El Sheikh, Dakahlia, Fayoum, Beni Suef, Minya, Qena, Luxor, and Aswan. This reflects the state's commitment to providing comprehensive rehabilitation services according to the latest professional and humanitarian standards for this group. These efforts, activities, and services are part of the Ministry's strategy to strengthen the rehabilitation services system, enhance the efficiency of centers and their staff, and expand access to services across different governorates. This aims to ensure equitable access to services for priority groups, stemming from the Ministry's belief that investing in the rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy is not merely a social service, but an investment in potential to shape the future. It also sends a clear message that human dignity and the right to care and rehabilitation are non-negotiable priorities, in accordance with the Egyptian Constitution and the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
