Lieutenant General Abdel-Magid Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with Mr. Khaled Sehili, Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Tunisia, and his accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting Egypt.
An official reception ceremony was held for him at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense, during which the national anthems of both countries were played.
The meeting addressed a number of issues of common interest, ways to enhance military cooperation between the two countries, and discussed the most important current developments on the regional and international scenes.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces expressed his pride in the historical Egyptian-Tunisian relations, emphasizing the General Command of the Armed Forces' keenness to strengthen all aspects of military cooperation between the Egyptian and Tunisian armed forces.
For his part, the Tunisian Minister of National Defense praised the deep-rooted bilateral relations, expressing his hope that the coming period would witness further joint cooperation between the armed forces of both countries.
