Egypt to Become Top Destination for Turks in 2025 After a Significant Surge in Numbers
2/8/2026

Inbound tourism from the Turkish market to Egypt is witnessing a remarkable transformation, with a projected growth of 43% in 2025 compared to 2024. This has prompted intensive professional efforts on the sidelines of the EMITT International Tourism Fair in Istanbul to solidify this growth and build upon it in the coming period.

During meetings between the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, and major Turkish tour operators and travel companies bringing tourists to Egypt, the performance of the Turkish market was assessed, and mechanisms for increasing tourist flows were discussed, in light of the growing demand from Turkish tourists, for whom Egypt became the top tourist destination last year, according to tour operators.

It was emphasized that the growth of tourism between Egypt and Turkey is a key element in supporting scheduled and charter flights.
