Scholars at the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Conference: Professions are the foundation of societies, and work is an act of worship requiring excellence.

The fourth scientific session of the 36th Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Conference, held under the first theme entitled "Professions in the Time of the Prophet: Their Statistics, Etiquette, Ethics, and Jurisprudence," was attended by Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Religious Endowments, and chaired by Dr. Ali Othman, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Call at Al-Azhar University in Cairo. Speakers included: Sheikh Bujar Spahiu, Head of the Islamic Community and Grand Mufti of Albania; Dr. Yashar Sharif Dama Oglu, former Deputy Mufti of Greece; Dr. Ahmed Khamis Shtayeh, Lecturer of Islamic Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Damanhour University; and Dr. Al-Harith Muhammad Mustafa, Lecturer of Hadith and its Sciences at the University of Al-Azhar in Egypt, and His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed Rabie – Imam, preacher, and teacher at the Egyptian Ministry of Religious Endowments.

The Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Call also reviewed the most important professions and crafts during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the ethics of work and production, emphasizing that professions are the foundation of societies and that work is an act of worship that requires mastery, honesty, and adherence to ethical values.
