Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, received Ambassador Askar Ginis, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Egypt, at the Ministry's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the health sector and pharmaceutical manufacturing technology.
The Minister welcomed the Ambassador, emphasizing the Ministry's keenness to develop the partnership through the transfer of pharmaceutical manufacturing technology, the standardization of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards, and opening new avenues for trade and investment between the two countries.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar stressed the importance of cooperation in the fields of pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, research and development, building medical and regulatory capacities, vaccination programs, and public health initiatives, with a focus on exporting Egyptian products, including hepatitis C treatment drugs and products of the Egyptian National Institute of Health and Medical Industries (EIPICO).
