Egypt has been targeted throughout history
10/29/2023

Karam Gabr, head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, confirmed that Egypt has been targeted throughout history, and many of the wars that Arab countries were exposed to and that changed the course of history were aimed at involving Egypt in battles that have no end, citing the example of Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait, which was like a heavy stone. At the forefront of joint Arab cooperation, Egypt was targeted in this incident because its forces were implicated in entering Iraq after the liberation of Kuwait. However, the Egyptian leadership at that time rejected that matter, stressing that the mission of the Egyptian forces was to liberate Kuwait and not occupy Iraq, and the effects of Iraq’s occupation of Kuwait still remain. Until now, it has sown hatred and attacked the concept of Arab nationalism and Arab unity.

Regarding the recent events in Palestine, Karam Jabr stressed that the solution to the Palestinian issue cannot be represented by displacement to Sinai, as Sinai is Egyptian territory. This issue was previously presented to the late President Mohamed Anwar Sadat, but he refused, and the same situation occurred with the late President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, and he refused. He explained that the issue of the Greater Middle East is a plan that was drawn up a long time ago and they are trying to implement it step by step, praising President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s speech at the International Industry Conference today in which he reassured the Egyptians that Egypt is very strong to the extent that it is able to defend itself and protect its national security, we just have to work. Each person is diligent in his field. The Egyptian position is strong and solid, and we must trust the state’s decisions and the strength of our army.
