Egyptian Red Crescent: 130,000 Food Baskets and 22,000 Winter Clothing Items Delivered to Gaza by the 99th "Zad Al-Izza" Convoy
12/22/2025

The Egyptian Red Crescent announced today, Monday, that the 99th "Zad Al-Izza... From Egypt to Gaza" convoy is carrying tons of urgent humanitarian aid for the Palestinian people, including approximately 130,000 food baskets, more than 700 tons of flour, more than 1,800 tons of essential medical and relief supplies needed in the Gaza Strip, in addition to more than 1,300 tons of petroleum products.

Due to the severe weather conditions in the Gaza Strip, the Egyptian Red Crescent reinforced its aid convoy with essential winter supplies, including 300 blankets, over 22,000 winter clothing items, approximately 3,000 mattresses, and around 3,500 tents to shelter those affected. This was part of Egypt's ongoing efforts to support its brothers and sisters in Gaza.

Mediators (Egypt, Qatar, and the United States) continued their efforts to reach a comprehensive ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and an exchange of prisoners and detainees. This culminated in an agreement reached in the early hours of October 9, 2025, between Hamas and Israel on the first phase of a ceasefire agreement, based on the Sharm El-Sheikh plan of US President Donald Trump, brokered by Egypt, the United States, Qatar, and with Turkish mediation.
