Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Religious Endowments, expressed his sincere gratitude to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his patronage of the current edition of the International Holy Quran Competition.
During his speech at the preparatory press conference for the 32nd International Holy Quran Competition (1447 AH / 2025/2026 CE), which focuses on memorization, recitation, intonation, and understanding the noble objectives of the Holy Quran, currently being held at the Egypt Mosque in the New Administrative Capital, he expressed his pride in the Egyptian school of Quranic studies by naming this edition of the competition after a shining star of Egypt, Sheikh Al-Shahat Muhammad Anwar. His son, Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Shahat, will recite at the opening ceremony.
