As part of his official visit to the Turkish capital, Ankara, Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, participated on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in a discussion session with the Turkish Center for Political, Economic, and Social Studies (SETA). The session was attended by Dr. Nabi Meş, the center's general coordinator, and a number of senior researchers. The discussion focused on Egyptian-Turkish bilateral relations and regional developments.
Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Minister Abdel-Aty reviewed during the meeting the remarkable development in Egyptian-Turkish relations, reflected in the recent flurry of official visits. He pointed to the tangible progress achieved in economic and investment cooperation, and to the outcomes of the Joint Planning Group meeting held in Ankara on November 11 and 12, chaired by the foreign ministers of both countries. This meeting addressed preparations for the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting scheduled for 2026.
