President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized the need to continue efforts to achieve stability in the countries of the Middle East region and to preserve their unity, sovereignty, and the well-being of their people.
He stressed the importance of the full implementation of the Sharm El-Sheikh Agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip in all its phases, consolidating the ceasefire, and ensuring the entry of sufficient quantities of humanitarian aid into the Strip without restrictions.
This came during President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's meeting today, Monday, with Sergey Shoygu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, in the presence of Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs; Major General Hassan Rashad, Head of the General Intelligence Directorate; and Fayza Abu El-Naga, Advisor to the President for National Security Affairs. From the Russian side; Alexander Venediktov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation; Georgy Borisenko, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Cairo; Sergey Mikheev, Deputy Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation; Andrey Yevseyev, an official at the Security Council of the Russian Federation; and Maria Paneva, an official in the Presidential Administration for Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation.
