The Minister of Foreign Affairs Reviews Egypt's Position on Regional Developments with Representatives of Foreign Media

Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, met with representatives of foreign media outlets accredited in Egypt in an expanded meeting on Tuesday evening, August 12, 2025. This meeting is part of the regular meetings held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with representatives of international news agencies and media outlets to review the determinants of Egypt's position on regional and international developments.

Minister Abdel Aty began his remarks by reviewing the principles governing Egyptian foreign policy in dealing with regional crises during this unprecedented period. These principles are based on supporting the nation-state and its institutions, respecting the sovereignty of states and the unity and integrity of their territories, non-interference in their internal affairs, and adherence to international law and the United Nations Charter. He emphasized that these principles and concepts aim to support security and peace, build partnerships, achieve common interests, and enhance regional stability.
