Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that Egypt has provided approximately 70% of the total humanitarian aid that has reached the Gaza Strip, stressing the ongoing arrangements to host an expanded international conference for early recovery and reconstruction.

The ambassador emphasized that Egypt supports the peace process in the region, "but a just peace that restores rights to their owners and guarantees the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state."
