The National Media Authority, headed by writer Ahmed Al-Maslamani, announced the formation of the Authority's Advisory Council, headed by Dean of the Planning Institute and former Minister of Planning, Dr. Ashraf Al-Arabi.

The Council Chairman and members serve on a voluntary basis and receive no financial compensation.

The council includes Abdel Fattah El-Gebali, Chairman of the Media Production City; Dr. Thuria El-Badawy, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University; Dr. Mohamed Sameh Amr, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Cairo University; Dr. Omar El-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University; Dr. Hossam El-Din Abdel Fattah, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University; Dr. Ayman Shetwi, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Alexandria University; Dr. Ahmed El-Gohary, former President of the Egyptian-Japanese University; Engineer Ali Salem, National Media Authority; Hisham Soliman, former official at the United Company; journalist Ezzat Ibrahim, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahram Weekly; Dr. Hussein Issa, Technical Secretariat of Economic Authorities; Anwar Abdel Rashid Shehata, Ministry of Finance; Ahmed Sayed Hassan Ali, Ministry of Finance.
