Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, met with several leaders and members of The Elders Group, founded by the late Nelson Mandela to support peace around the world. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the "High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Question and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution," held at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

Minister Abdel Aty also stressed the importance of building on the conference's momentum and working to advance efforts to implement the two-state solution, ensuring the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967, lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
