President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, today.

The Official Spokesperson for the Presidency stated that the meeting addressed the latest developments in Arab crises and issues, most notably developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and the intensive efforts made by Egypt and Qatar to achieve a ceasefire and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of the Gaza Strip. They also discussed efforts to find a just and comprehensive settlement to the Palestinian issue through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in accordance with international legitimacy, preserving the rights of the Palestinian people, and preventing their displacement or any infringement of their just cause.
