It also reflects a well-established concept of museum science in Egypt: designed using highly advanced technologies and focused on meeting the needs and desires of visitors.
The Financial Times profile of the Grand Egyptian Museum stated that its opening procession is expected to emulate the "Golden Procession of the Pharaohs," held in 2021. This procession included 22 royal mummies, transported in special nitrogen-filled coffins from the Egyptian Museum to the "National Museum of Egyptian Civilization" in the old quarters of Cairo.
